Youth Advisory Group 2026: Creativity, Skills and a Lot of Fun

This February half term marked the first Youth Advisory Group (YAG) gathering of the year for young people on our Post‑16 programme. Our YAG events are always a highlight for us, and gave the space for our young people to shape what matters at Envision, share their perspectives, and influence the direction of our work.

This year, our Youth Advisory Groups ran in Birmingham and London, each exploring the theme of social media in the world of work. Across both cities, 30 young people joined us to dive into what makes content engaging, how organisations communicate effectively, and why young voices matter in shaping that narrative.

The morning kicked off with an introduction to communications, branding and social media marketing, sparking plenty of discussion about trends, storytelling and what grabs attention online. In the afternoon, teams put their learning into action by creating their own content for Envision’s social media. The content created was incredible!

To wrap up the creative challenge, teams pitched their content to our Communications Manager, Finn, who crowned the “Find Your Essential Skills” quiz as the winner of the day. It was a hit across both regions and can be found on our social media now.

After a packed day of ideas and collaboration, each region rounded things off with a well‑earned social. Both groups brought just as much enthusiasm to the social as they did to the creative challenge.

Keep an eye on our social channels; you’ll be seeing the young people’s content shared over the next few months.
