Welcoming Our New CEO: George Kearney-Bambridge
We’re delighted to announce that George Kearney-Bambridge has officially stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer at Envision!
George’s journey with Envision began in 2016, when a chance encounter at a Birmingham school first introduced her to our work. As she recalls:
“Back in 2016, I walked by a classroom in a Birmingham school and saw an Envision facilitator in a pea-green t-shirt, deep in conversation with a group of teenagers about knife crime—how it was affecting their local community and what they wanted to do about it… Not only were the young people’s ideas incredible, but they spoke with such passion, confidence and respect for each other.”
That moment sparked something that led George to join the Envision Birmingham team in 2019 as Regional Manager. Since then, she’s held several key roles and worked closely with two phenomenal CEOs, the wider Envision team, and our Board of Trustees. Now, after six years of dedicated service and leadership, we couldn’t be more excited to see her step into the CEO role.
“I step into this role full of gratitude and full of ambition for what’s next. I’m excited to help Envision deliver on our mission to support more young people from less-advantaged backgrounds to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life, whatever direction they choose to take.”
We also want to take a moment to thank Elisabeth Paulson for her exceptional leadership. Over the past four years, Elisabeth, alongside our brilliant Senior Management Team – Joanna Clark, Joanna Lock, and previously Owen Day and Anthony Rigby – has helped steer Envision through impactful, exciting, and sometimes challenging times. Her unwavering commitment to our young people and her care for the entire Envision community has shaped our organisation into what it is today and she leaves behind an inspiring legacy.
“The Board of Trustees could not have made a better choice in appointing George,” says Elisabeth. “She will be an incredible leader for Envision, bringing together schools, colleges, funders and local partners to empower young people to develop and grow their #EssentialSkills – skills for the future and forever.”
As George takes the reins, she does so with deep knowledge of our work, genuine passion for our mission, and strong relationships with our community of partners. We are confident that her leadership will continue to strengthen Envision’s impact and ensure we remain a place where young people thrive – and where our staff and collaborators grow and succeed too.
Please join us in congratulating George and sharing the news of this exciting new chapter for Envision. We look forward to continuing this journey with you all!
