Secondary Spring Cohort 2024
The last programme of the academic year has come to a close, and what a success it was!
It’s been a couple of months since the secondary Spring cohort ended with the incredibly successful Final events, which has given us plenty of time to reflect on another brilliant cohort! It was another round of incredible projects led by amazing teams of young people, and all the judges were so impressed by what they saw presented at the Final. Projects ranged from informational videos about sexism, to culture day events, and everything in between.
As always, we really couldn’t run this programme without the brilliant mentors from our corporate partners, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to all of them and their hard work – it has been brilliant seeing them get so involved and their advice and support to the young people was invaluable.
A huge shout out too to our Programme Coordinators who worked so hard each week to guide the young people to develop their skills throughout the programme. We’re already looking forward to the new academic year and look forward to seeing more positive change happen in school communities, but will be enjoying some time this Summer to reflect and refine our programmes for Autumn.

“I have been genuinely blown away all year by the courage young people have. No matter what guidance or support they receive from the programme, there is still ultimately a point in every young person’s journey to develop confidence and essential skills where they have to be brave and take the leap for themselves. I’m so proud of all the young people I’ve worked with for showing themselves and each other what they’re capable of!”

“Encapsulating the immense pride I feel from working with my young people is not an easy task. Tackling social issues that are often close to home, especially at such a young age, requires impressive courage. It is an overwhelming reminder of the positive change that young people can make, if only they are believed in and given the opportunity.”

“A feeling that’s always hard to put into words, it’s been a genuine pleasure working with this cohort of young people and getting to know them individually. Not only have I seen for myself how they have grown in their confidence and skills development; but I’ve also watched the process of them coming together as a team, supporting each other and realizing for themselves what they are capable of achieving when they push beyond their comfort zones.”
