Our Youth Advisory Group: Exploring Youth Challenges

Last week we had our second successful Youth Advisory Group session of the year!

This session was all about hearing first-hand from our young people about the issues they face as they transition into adult life and towards the world of work. At Envision we believe that listening to our young people should be at the heart of all we do so the day was a great way to listen and learn directly from our Youth Advisors!

Facilitated by our wonderful Envision Programme Coordinators James, Deepali, and Laila, alongside our Youth Trustee Josephine, the day was filled with activities designed to encourage open dialogue and collaboration. From debates and engaging round-table discussions to creating campaigns for the Envision social media platforms, our Youth Advisors had the opportunity to not only share their perspectives but also to continue developing their essential skills in a supportive environment.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing our young people stepping out of their comfort zones, building confidence, and forming connections with other young people from across the country. To top this off, when asked in a survey, all of our Youth Advisors felt that their voice had been heard and that the day had helped them develop their skills and their confidence.

We are incredibly grateful to our corporate partner, William Blair, for generously providing us with their beautiful office space in London for the day. Their support made this exciting day possible!

Stay tuned for more updates on the impactful work of our Youth Advisory Group and the positive changes they are driving within our organisation and for themselves.
