Sarah has spent much of her career working at the intersection of young people, active travel and sustainable transport. In her previous role as a researcher at UWE Bristol, she spent three years building the policy case for transport systems that better support the development, social inclusion and economic opportunities of young people aged 16–25. Her experience also includes working in the charity sector on national active travel-to-school campaigns and supporting schools, workplaces and communities to encourage sustainable transport behaviours.
