Alfie Perry-Ward
Programme Coordinator (Bristol)
More about me
Alfred’s background is in education, having worked as Deputy Head of English at an academy in West London. Through teaching, he gained first-hand insight into the barriers that can limit opportunities for young people, particularly those from marginalised backgrounds, including refugees. After leaving the classroom, Alfred joined a human rights research organisation, where he developed a strong interest in supporting social action initiatives and community-led change. He was drawn to Envision because of its commitment to empowering young people and helping them develop the skills and confidence to create positive change in their communities.
A social issue I care about
"I’m fascinated by the connections between local issues and wider global challenges, including politics, development and human rights. I’m particularly passionate about raising awareness of human rights and peacebuilding issues in Southeast Asia and helping people understand how global events can have a real impact on communities closer to home."
