Envision Cycling Challenge 2026
Our annual bike ride returns!
The Envision Cycling Challenge is back!
This year marks the 9th edition of our annual cycling fundraising event!
This is a 3-day charity bike ride touring through Eastern Yorkshire, through Lincolnshire and ending in Cambridge. It’s a chance to raise money for a great cause, challenge yourself, meet new, like-minded people, and of course, have fun!
What is the route?
On our first evening (Thursday 17th September) we will stay at The Hilton York. We will then leave bright and early on Friday morning after breakfast and a safety briefing.
Day 1 rolls out from York, one of England’s best-preserved medieval cities, with Roman walls, Viking roots, and timber-framed streets. The route quickly opens onto the flat, green Vale of York before crossing the Humber Bridge with expansive estuary views. We then enter gentle chalk hills with steady climbs, remote lanes, and charming brick and stone villages.
Day 2 departs from Louth, the spire of St James’ Church fades into the rolling Lincolnshire countryside. Big eastern views, farmsteads, and sleepy villages line the way before Lincoln emerges dramatically, its cathedral and castle visible from miles away. The route then flattens into the Fenlands, finishing in Peterborough—a change from the quiet countryside before.
Day 3 is our East Anglian finale, bringing quiet riverside riding, immense skies, and ultra-flat Fenland roads. Entering Cambridge, collegiate buildings gradually appear behind lawns and waterways, revealing one of Britain’s most beautiful small cities. Here we celebrate with friends, family, and the Envision Team!
How much will it cost me to take part?
Please note, spaces are secured on a first come first served basis and only guaranteed when payments in full have been received. Paid rider numbers are strictly limited to 45.
The registration fee is:
• £500pp for double or twin accommodation
• £750pp for single accommodation
Plus, we are offering a 25% discount for under 30s (twin room rate only, for the first 5 under-30s to signup).
With event costs being covered by riders, the funds raised can go directly to benefit Envision’s work.
How much do you expect me to fundraise?
This is Envision’s main fundraising and promotional event of the year which means that we are looking for riders who will commit not just to riding but also to raising money pro-actively from family, friends, colleagues and employers.
We are looking for riders who will commit to trying to raise a minimum of £1,500 (on top of the registration fee). Riders from the last two previous rides have raised, on average, between £3,500 and £5,000. The team at Envision will provide fundraising materials and support throughout.
We understand that some people who ride will prefer to make a personal donation. We welcome riders on this basis; we hope they will consider a donation that goes beyond our fundraising minimum to account for the loss of increased awareness of Envision’s mission that is secured through fundraising. If you have opted to make a donation on your registration form, Beth Collins will be in touch to discuss this further with you.
