Plan B on the Importance of Youth Work

By Ben Fraser   -  7 May 2013

The term ‘chav’ has become an acceptable insult towards working class people, fuelled by the media’s demonization of a generation of young people represented as a feckless scrounging underclass.

Plan B, who experienced a dysfunctional start to life and the social persecution that comes with it talks about the need to come together and support each other in communities where young people are not blessed with privilege.

Drawing on his life changing experiences with youth work programmes, ones that build positive human relationships and leave no young person behind he calls on the audience to go away and support one other person in any way they can.
