Truth about Youth is about challenging the negative media stereotypes of young people through positive action.

The campaign is a two-year programme being run by Envision and supported by The Co-operative Foundation. Over the course of the project Truth about Youth will be supporting over 600 young people aged 16-19 to take real action on issues in their local community. In addition around 100 young people will be running their own youth-led campaigns challenging the negative stereotypes of young people.

15th Dec 2009: Over £8000 awarded at Pitch 4 Change |

Envision Teams are awarded over £8000 through Envisions Pitch 4 Change. The money will help the student teams deliver their projects or extend their projects to wider audience. The panel of judges were so impressed that they also made offers of personal support. See the photos from the event.

5th Dec 2009: Envision Grad Event |

A handful of hard-core Envision graduates gave up their Saturday lie-in to come to one of the first of a series of Envision Grad events aimed at supporting them to develop further campaigns and projects. The day was packed full of activities including masterclasses in writing press releases, film editing and campaigning as well as advice on presentation and communication skills.

The Truth about Youth was officially launched at the Envision Birmingham Kick Off Event at Aston Villa Football Club.
