Random Acts of Kindness

Spreading a bit of love on Valentine's Day   -  By Emma Bird

The team from Woodhouse College enjoyed their project so much last year they decided to carry on organising random acts of kindness. This Valentine's Day they returned to the streets of London to give out 2,000 roses to members of the public to spread a bit of love and to get people thinking positive about young people.

To raise funds for their big giveaway they organised a series of cake bake sales and spent a good many evenings attaching their calling cards to each rose.

Congratulations to team leader Gemma Astarita who was nominated and won a Jack Petchey Award shortly after the making of this film. The award recognises the hardwork, passion and determination she has shown in making a difference to her community.
