Community-Apprentices pitch to Bristol Mayor

Back in September Bristol Mayor, George Ferguson, challenged our Community-Apprentices to come up with ideas that tackled a community issue in their area.

Five of those teams were selected to present their ideas to a panel of top executives for the chance of winning funding of up to £500 to improve and extend the impact of their community projects at an event called Pitch4Change.

The event took place on 11th December at Clarke Willmott, and just under £3000 was given out over the course of the day. Watch the film to find out how the teams got on and what Mayor George Ferguson thought of their projects...

I think it’s empathising with people’s needs that makes a huge difference and I think these projects that the Community-Apprentice's have developed are really outstanding. I’m delighted that they’ve taken up the challenge in such a creative way.
