Celebrating the Jubilee with the Queen
Envision Grad Tomiwa Fosudo had the pleasure of celebrating the Diamond Jubilee with Her Majesty The Queen at a special lunch at Westminster Hall on Tuesday, hosted by the City of London Livery Companies.
Tomiwa was invited as a guest of The Salters’ Company to represent Envision, who were one of their charity partners this year.
It was surreal when the Queen made her entrance with the rest of the royals. I just never dreamt that I would be invited to such an occasion, not in a million years. I thank Envision for opening the door and providing this unique opportunity and thanks to The Salter's Company for an amazing experience.

The personal invitation came after Tomiwa attended the Salters’ Charity Reception early this year as an Envision Ambassador. Along with Envision staff, he met and spoke with Members of the Company about the work Envision does and the benefits it brings to the young people who take part.
It was an absolute pleasure to have Tomiwa as our guest at the luncheon, and he was an excellent ambassador for Envision and The Salters’ Company.

The Salters’ Charitable Foundation has funded Envision to deliver the Get Local project in the London Borough of Hackney. This pilots a youth-led community development model to enable teenagers in the area to investigate issues affecting local people and take action to tackle them.
The programme has been a great success, seeing youth teams respond to local people’s concerns with three creative projects - an exhibition celebrating the area’s overlooked beauty spots; collaborative art workshops bringing children, teens and elderly people together; and a website providing support in accessing employment tailored to local young people’s needs.
