Envision Grads tackle environmental issues in Bimringham

Envision Grads took to the streets of Birmingham to take on the challenge of cleaning up one of the city's most dynamic neighbourhoods.

With local residents increasingly unhappy by the scale of the litter problem, the Envision Grads decided to give Digbeth streets a much needed makeover.

They managed to collect over 50 bags of litter in only two hours.

Digbeth is home to many of Birmingham's most popular pubs and clubs. This has the unfortunate side effect of piles of litter lining the streets after Friday and Saturday nights.

The teams engaged with dozens of members of the public to spread their environmental message and ensure a lasting impact. Local residents greatly appreciated their efforts - with many getting involved with the challenge.

More of us local residents should make an effort to do this kind of thing. It's great to see young people doing their bit for the community.

Teams also publicised their day of environmental action through social media by posting snaps of the area's cultural heritage on Twitter and Instagram.

Envision Grads were publically congratulated on popular local blog 'Digbeth Is Good'.

The day culminated with a hot drinks and cakes kindly provided by Digbeth Residents Assocition and The Spotted Dog pub.
