Vacancies: Programme Managers and Co-ordinators

Roles with great variety, responsible for all aspects of running a cluster of schools, from looking after your donors to facilitating activities with young people.

We’re expanding.  That means the opportunity to reach many more young people.  It also means that as well as the usual annual recruitment of new Envision Coaches, we’re recruiting several new Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators to work in Bristol, Birmingham and London.

Both these roles are like being a mini charity Director; they offer a great career-move for someone wanting to forge a path in general management or wanting to gain wider experience before specialising.  The people who currently hold these roles in the organisation will tell you that the best thing (apart from their colleagues of course!) is the variety.

The roles offer a great opportunity to own your own project and be responsible for all aspects of it, from looking after your donors to facilitating activities with young people.  It means that you can be a manager, without letting go of what you’ll love doing – working with young people.

Both roles are responsible for achieving key outputs for a cluster of schools.  A Programme Co-ordinator manages and directly delivers all aspects of the programme in a cluster of five schools.  A Programme Manager is responsible for two clusters of fives schools.  They facilitate the sessions with young people which take place with adult volunteers in the work place, but delegate weekly sessions in schools to two interns who they line-manage.

The two roles are very similar, so we’ve decided to run one recruitment round for both.  All applicants will face the same assessment process and we’ll decide which role they’re most suitable for.

The salary range for the Project Manager roles is £21,000 - £24,000 and for the Project Co-ordinators it’s £19,000 - £22,000, plus £3k London weighting. Further details about the roles and how to apply are set out in the application pack.

Please state in your covering email which region(s) you wish to be considered for and also attach an equal opportunities form and declaration of criminal convictions form.  The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 8th May.

Please note, we will only be contacting candidates who have been shortlisted for interview. Therefore, if we have not contacted you within two working weeks of the closing date please assume you have been unsuccessful.

Incomplete applications will not be considered. We also regret to inform you that, due to the high volume of applications we receive, we will be unable to provide you with feedback regarding your application.
