Work with us

Hear what it's like to work for Envision first-hand from our staff, past and present.

By Zoe Fishel, Project Manager

Zoe joined Envision through our internship programme nearly four years and is now managing our Community Apprentice programme being delivered in London.

"I can’t believe how quickly time has gone by since I started at Envision 3 and a half years ago! I started as an intern straight after graduating, rushing around London supporting 11 youth teams. The level of responsibility at Envision was much higher than in other roles I’d had, and helped me realise I wanted to focus on young people and informal learning.

Since then, Envision’s focus on personal development has enabled me to progress quickly into management, originally in fundraising and programme development, and now as a project manager.

It has also given me the confidence to start a part-time MA in youth and community work, and to co-found a grassroots campaign. Envision is always extremely busy, but the opportunity to combine working directly with young people and with behind the scenes strategy makes it all worth it!”

By Cameron Nimmo, Regional Manager

Cameron joined Envision five years ago through our award-winning internship programme. He now heads up the Birmingham office.

“My first experience of Envision was volunteering a few hours a week to develop my experience of working with young people, with the hope of becoming a qualified teacher. Since then I have become the Regional Manager of Envision’s Birmingham office.

From the outset I fully believed in Envision’s work but it was the organisation’s culture of empowerment and providing development opportunities that have kept me here.

Working for Envision has developed me as an individual, constantly provided me with new challenges and most importantly allowed me to do what I enjoy to the best of my ability.”
