Richie is more than just a beard and a pair of glasses; he’s pretty passionate about social action too. His passion was born in Argentina, where he taught English, sport and art to young people at a Buenos Aires community centre.
Returning after three years in 2013, Richie’s ‘Lonely Volunteering Hearts’ ad read something along the lines of ‘Young(ish), gregarious, and impassioned social activist seeks fun, grassroots charitable organisation.' Envision met him for a very successful first date and he soon began working as a Team Mentor at Hampstead School in Camden. The relationship has been blossoming ever since, and Richie joined the London team full-time in 2014.
Educated at the University of Sussex, the University of Colorado, and Met Film School, London, Richie brings a broad skill set to Envision. He also has experience of working as both a journalist and a documentary filmmaker!
Envision had me at ‘hello’. The can-do culture of the organisation is infectious, and its holistic approach to youth empowerment deserves to be championed. As an improv comedian, I live (and sometimes die) on stage by the ethos that if we all work hard to help each other out, we’ll all be individually better off. It is this same selfless attitude which is deeply embodied in the Envision spirit.”
