Leading by example . . .

In this great interview, the inspiring educationalist Sir Ken Robinson reminds us that in aeroplane safety announcements you are told to put your own oxygen mask on before you try to help somebody else.  He uses the analogy to make the point that teachers and mentors can not hope to develop competencies in others unless they are competent themselves.

As an organising seeking to instil character and values in young people, we take our own culture and values very seriously and we seek staff, volunteers and partners who share them.

Empowerment

We encourage ideas, give real responsibility and support people to gain skills and knowledge to develop within themselves and society.

Collaboration

We achieve more by working with people and organisations different to ourselves. 

Fun

We make learning, and work, fun. We always take our work seriously, but never ourselves!

We are solutions focused, foster creative problem solving and are courageous about trying new things.

Accountability

We are accountable to all our stakeholders and keep our promises: doing what we say we will do. Although we work collaboratively, we are clear about who is accountable for what and embrace personal responsibility.
